As local affiliate marketers look for easy and inexpensive ways to get their message out to the world, social media remains an important part of their digital strategies. For some, it's easier to create and update a Facebook page than it is to manage an entire website. For others, image-friedly Instagram and Pinterest or micro-updates on Twitter act as fast, casual ways to engage with consumers in addition to website and email marketing. There are also inherent SEO and word-of-mouth marketing benefits that can stem from social media, especially for brands coordinating local social media efforts across their affiliate networks.
A major challenge for affiliates looking to leverage a national brand for their social efforts, however, is the constantly changing image sizes needed for each social media channel. Imagery is one of the principal keys to success in social media, and unfortunately, one size DOES NOT fit all. Luckily, our friends (and client) at Constant Contact have created the following social media image size chart for 2016 that is helpful for both brand managers and local affiliates.
