QR Codes for Local Marketing

Dynamic QR codes for local marketing help brands drive traffic to stores and improve the customer experience.

QR codes are everywhere, from our car insurance to our concert tickets to our favorite restaurant’s menu. But as a marketer, do you know how deeply integrated they have become in our lives?

  • 91% of active iOS users have access to QR code scanners
  • 5.3 Billion coupons will be redeemed using QR codes by the end of 2022
  • 36.40% of smartphone users scan at least one QR code a week
  • The number of US smartphone users scanning a QR code will increase from 83.4 million in 2022 to 99.5 million in 2025
  • BrandMuscle Success Story: customer achieved 160% MoM increase in QR code scans in 2020 when leveraged on printed material

Once dismissed as a fad, QR codes are here to stay, and they should be available for your channel partners to use on their print marketing materials. To capitalize on QR codes’ effectiveness and ease of use, BrandMuscle has rolled out a QR code module within our Brand Management solution!

How Does This New Solution Work?

It’s simple!

First, channel partners log into the BrandMuscle Brand Management solution, as they typically would. Then, they have the option to dynamically spin up their unique QR code within the platform by clicking “generate QR code.” Once generated, users are prompted to add the URL to link. They’ll then select a template to build out, with a space for their unique QR code. As they build their template, they’ll have the option to add their QR code directly to the template.

The QR code module allows channel partners to dynamically generate their own unique QR code in 10 seconds and simply add that QR code to any materials available to them.

Step 1: Build Your QR Code

Step 2: Build Out Template With QR Code Space

When it comes to QR codes, you’ll have a dashboard of data to show you exactly how many consumers have seen a specific piece of print material. Do you want to know how many scans a standard business card is getting? What location, day, and time of week has had the most QR code scans? All of this information will be present in one dashboard for you to analyze!

What Kind of Marketing Data Do QR Codes Provide?

You’ll have tangible ROI data on every single piece of print that features a QR code, so you can understand how your customers are interacting with your content.

Reporting includes:

  • Days since last visit
  • Unique visit (new visit)
  • Repeat visit
  • URL sent to
  • Country
  • City
  • Zip code
  • Device types
  • Days of week
  • Weekend vs weekday
  • Time
  • Date
  • Visit numbers

Delivering marketing materials with a QR code allows for an engaging customer experience, along with the ability to update where your QR codes point without reprinting materials. You can drive consumers to wherever makes sense: branded sites, coupons, hosted videos, social media, scan to call and make appointments, surveys, and more!

Reduce Waste and Print Costs With QR Codes

How often do you toss paper documents in the garbage bin? Well, you can reduce your company’s carbon footprint by choosing QR codes. QR codes make information easily digitized and shared, eliminating paper waste. QR codes can be used as user manuals, video content, PDFs, Coupons and more, without needing to print and send out items!

Promoting environmental sensitivity is more important today than ever, and QR codes allow the easy ability to show your company values sustainability enough to put those values into action.
